The battle of the beasts aka PS5 vs Xbox series X, know which one's best for you

Both Sony and Microsoft have dropped their next-gen gaming consoles this month, PS5 and the Xbox Series X which are up for pre-order now, so which one do you think is better for you, let's find out.

Design

Sony's PS5 looks like a black rectangle covered by two white fins that almost converge in downward triangular pattern whereas Xbox series x flaunts a symmetrical vertical pc tower like design with Xbox logo on top left. Xbox series X can be used both vertically and horizontally depending on the space available.

So in terms in design the Xbox have a slight edge over PS5

Performance

Both the consoles offer seamless smooth gaming experience, thanks to their 4k at 120hz capabilities. And that's not all both of these can run game with 8k resolution too.

Both offer 16GB GDDR6 ram and custom NVME SSD paired with 8 cores processor clocked at 3.8Ghz for Xbox and 3.5Ghz for PS5.

  • Xbox comes with 1tb storage
  • PS5comes with 850gb storage

The GPU processing speed of PS5 is 10.3 teraflops whereas Xbox have processing speed of 12 teraflops .

Both are powerful enough to handle anything you throw at it but the Xbox gets an edge over PS5 in terms of performance.

Controllers

In terms of controllers both the companies have difference of opinion as while the Xbox control is been made to easily make it comfortable to adapt for the previous Xbox players the PS5 provides more alien approach.

The PS5 looks more premium looks and boasts about being more help full for next gen games the Xbox is expected to have lesser cost (standalone) and provides more comfort to even the smaller hands.

VR Capabilities

The PS5 supports  it's own Sony PSVR headset whereas Microsoft doesn't provide any VR services for Xbox yet. The PS5 is clearly a winner here.

Pricing

The PS5 comes in two variants, disk one and digital one, the disk one sets u back at 500$(₹36,731.27) where as digital one sets u at 400$(₹29,385.02)

The Xbox comes with a single disk compatible variant that costs 500$(₹36,731.27).

So in terms of pricing both are similar.

Availability

Both the consoles are up for pre-orders globally but in India both will be announced on 10th November and will be up for pre-orders from 12th November.

Verdict

Both consoles offer top notch performance, so you can't go wrong with either of them, PS5 will be easy on your pockets cuz of the digital variant that costs 100$(₹7350) less but if budget is not an issue you can go with Xbox.
